SQL Server & MongoDB Database Developer

Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support applications software or specialized utility programs, including database applications, and enhancement of existing systems. Implement, develop, and maintain SQL databases (tables, functions, stored procedures, constraints, indexes, views, and complex SQL statements). Assist in the definition of the database requirements, analyze existing models looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and troubleshoot various performance issues. Create various database objects (tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and triggers) and implement referential integrity constraints for enforcing data integrity and business rules. Involved in requirement gathering from business and end users, working closely with the project manager and data architect. Create indexes for fast retrieval of the data. Involved in performance tuning and query optimization. Create complex queries involving sub-queries and joins. Implement fine tuning of database objects and server to ensure efficient data retrieval. Responsible for implementation of data viewer, logging, error configuration for error handling the packages. Design ETL packages dealing with different data sources (SQL Server, Flat Files, and XMLs) and load the data into target data sources by performing various kinds of transformations using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Use various SSIS tasks including data validation checks during staging, before loading data into data warehouse. Create SQL Server reports and develop query for generating drill down and drill through reports using SSRS. Work on handling and configuration of NoSQL databases including MongoDB. Work on architecture and capacity planning for MongoDB cluster. Implement scripts for MongoDB import, export, restore, and dump.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Database Developer or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with SQL Server and MongoDB. 40hrs/week.
